Sexy Sustainability
Listen up! Intelligence is sexy, being informed is attractive and sustainability is so in.
In our current climate it would be unwise to ignore the importance of sustainability, as the future of our world really centres on what we do NOW. And, while many of us have embraced sustainably farmed foods, recycling and natural beauty products, there seems to be a certain prenotion that sustainable clothes can’t be chic. Here at Kitty Ferreira we want to start a sustainable revolution, proving that naturally sourced and dyed fabrics aren’t just good for the world but are oh so sexy too. Using sustainably sourced fabrics allows looks to be tailored to a woman’s sexy silhouette, embracing curves and enhancing beauty.
Last week, whilst I was contemplating what sexiness was all about, I got chatting to one of my fellow writer friends, who writes books about his explorations across the hills, and I asked him what he felt made a woman sexy. ‘Intelligence, and self awareness’ he told me, before explaining about how sexy he found it when his wife (who is a shepherdess) gets passionate about procuring her fleeces. He told me how much she cares for the sheep and the sustainability of their wellbeing, and that just hearing her speak about how much she cared about the environment was what made her so alluring.
Of course we can’t all be sheep herding super women, but we can educate ourselves, make better choices, embrace fashion and be sexy all at the same time. After all that’s what being a woman is all about – a multi-tasking beauty.
