My aspirational fashion life
Like the majority of the Fashionista Brigade I aspire to great quality and great style from my fashion but some of us can only aspire so far as high street fashion or can we? My aspirational fashion life looks like this… think Dolce & Gabanna, think Glamour, think curves, think sexy, think elegance and sophistication, think La Dolce Vita and Sophia Loren, amore la per moda, amore, amore, amore… now that’s all very nice and Italian but those prices? Ouch… I don’t think so!
Having said that I’m not really down with cheap, throwaway high street fashion either. I’m damn sure we can do better than Primarni aka Primark. So I’m devising a little LOOKBOOK from the Kitty Ferreira collection, which rivals with high-end fashion brands but at a fair price for great quality and design.
Look number one:
[L] Twice Shy Skirt – Kitty Ferreira £130 [R] Selina Gomez in Dolce & Gabanna Skirt £345
KITTY FERREIRA VERSUS DOLCE & GABANNA
Now you know your curves would fill out that Kitty skirt like no ones business. Mixing sophistication with the tribal/tropical look, a trend that shows no signs of disappearing any time soon and for £215 less than you would pay for that Dolce number, it’s a good bargain for quality and great design. Plus it is made from upcycled British wool, which makes it an item that will last a long time in your wardrobe. Wear it with a cute bralette top for you’re down time like Ms Gomez or with a smart shirt for when you’re earning your money. It’s worth saving them pennies for ladies.
Look number two:
[L] Delice Dress – Kitty Ferreira £270 [R] Victoria Beckham – Crepe Tulle Insert Dress £635
KITTY FERREIRA VERSUS VICTORIA BECKHAM
This fiery little orange dress is giving me life, I love that colour against my dark skin tone. The Delice dress from Kitty is made of upcycled British wool, with the sleeves and waistband made out of silk plus it has been dyed with get this, pomegranate and onion skins, don’t worry it doesn’t smell like it. To be worn at the office or a lunch date. At £270 compared to Victoria Beckham’s £635 similar dress I know where my money’s going.
Look number three:
[L] Kitty Ferreira Backless Jumper £110, [R]Burberry Open Back Bow Detail Sweater £695
KITTY FERREIRA VERSUS BURBERRY
The casual but sexy look, the look that get’s those heads turning, which you set out to get but effortlessly, you know the look… Well this little number should do the trick without trying too hard. The very revealing bubblegum pink jumper from the collection is made out of upcycled viscose jersey from the UK, Burberry offer a similar item, which is lovely but for £695 I’d rather go with the Kitty equivalent. Try wearing it with nice pair of skinny jeans and high boots. Who would have thought a bit of knitwear could be this sultry, nice.
That’s it for now, these are my favourite items from the collection, pieces worth investing into compared to those high end brands, not only are you investing in yourself by owning one of these unique creations but you are also investing in the world you live in, which is no bad feat for Fashion.
