This August marked the fifth consecutive month of expansion in the British manufacturing sector, and, with more and more independent boutiques looking for good quality clothes but with low minimums it’s no wonder that this industry has recorded such a boom. This surge in UK based brands is the highest reading since February 2011 and gives rise to skills that were once lost to British people. By buying British goods manufactured by skilled craftsman using the finest materials it boosts the economy, improves sustainability and helps to keep skills alive in the UK.

At Kitty Ferreira we are dedicated to all things British, and that is why each piece in the collection is lovingly designed, sampled and produced in London. Manufacturing here in the UK allows us to dictate our production times and quantities, and enables us to be in control of the quality of each piece. It also ensures that our dedicated customers get exquisitely tailored pieces which are unusual and special, out of the ordinary and fashion forward. Producing smaller amounts of quality clothes allows us to offer new styles throughout the season, which means we are always able to offer something fresh that compliments the current collection. Manufacturing in the UK means we can also offer shorter lead times and get into stores even faster!

With London being THE home of Kitty Ferreira we are so happy that we can do our bit to boost the economy and reduce our carbon footprint right here in our home town. Being able to use UK manufacturing feels GREAT and we hope that our clothes show that.
